I totally cheated with this meal and bought a couple of bags of Foster Farms Orange Chicken:
I would just like to point out that we don't ever eat out...like ever. So I am more than willing to spend a little more once a week on convenience meals like this because it is still WAYYYYY cheaper than eating out! I like to have this kind of stuff on hand at all times because some days are really difficult and it would be so easy to just go out and eat instead of cooking a meal. But with things like this in my freezer, it takes that temptation away. If you are wondering why we don't eat out, go to the 'about' section on this blog and it will explain it.
We served this with green beans, rice and apple slices. It was so yummy! Dalton and Ella even had it for breakfast the next day:)
Now, I do have a super easy recipe for orange chicken. I don't have any pictures but will try to get some next time I make it. Take diced boneless skinless chicken breasts and cover them with one can of orange soda and 1/3 cup of soy sauce. Refrigerate over night (or be like me and always forget that step) and then bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Baste while cooking (or be like me and forget to do that part, too:).
Happy Eating!
